Australia is one of the most popular destinations in the world for location filming. We are fortunate to have a rich variety of locations, with tropical rain forests, lush mountain ranges, waterfalls, magnificent rivers, Australian outback bush, working properties and of course every type of beach location imaginable, all within a 200km radius of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and that's just Queensland.

In New South Wales we have 'Sydney' well known for its success as the 2000 Olympic city, its magnificent harbour and the Opera house provide a perfect entry point to a city rich in both modern and traditional architecture. Over the years Sydney has been the city of choice for some major feature films including Superman, Star Wars and Moulon Rouge. It is also the home of Fox Studios which has an enviable reputation as one of the most sophisticated studio complexes in the world.

In other parts of New South Wales and Victoria we possess some excellent ski fields, large areas of national park, vast barren plains of rugged outback scenery, subtropical rain forests, and some quite unique country towns. In South and Western Australia you will find salt lakes that stretch out to the horizon and deserts with red sand dunes, as well as some of the worlds most famous wine regions such as the Barossa valley and Margaret River.

Australia has an excellent road system and a large number of airports helping to make it a very accessible country.

Sugar Glider Films have a large number of location photos on file, as well as a fairly well stocked library of reference material, all of which we use to give you an idea of what is available locally. Once we have established that what you want is here, we brief a scout and find you the perfect location - if only it was that simple.

We can present on whatever format you require including digital, and 35mm stills. Still images can be sent through the Internet at the end of a days scouting with the video and 35mm forwarded on by international courier. Images can also be placed on an FTP site which we will set up for you. Each location is recorded with the time of day, direction of sunlight, compass reading, lens used and climactic conditions.
